My influences include JJ Cale, Ed Kuepper, Elliott Smith, Evan Dando, Martin Stephenson. All are singer/songwriters. I think I got the habit of writing short songs from playing Beatles songs in cafes. The people I listen to lately are Richard Thompson, Brendan Gallagher, Martin Stephenson, myself, Bob Dylan. But mostly myself.
PUBS and FOLK FESTIVALS
Currently playing folk clubs in Brisbane including Mad Ass at the Muddy Farmer in Annerley and Foco Nuevo in West End.
History includes performances in a 3 and 4 piece outfit playing at Brisbane hotels doing mostly originals and some blues covers.
Performed with a several lineups at the WOODFORD FOLK FESTIVAL.
I also used to play congas in a percussion group "Beats Working" in New Farm Park and Botanical Gardens with a series of gigs at Tongue and Groove Restaurant and street festivals at West End and Moorooka. We had belly dancers even.
