The 4 siblings who represent the band Holy Water were all raised in the small Swedish town of Jönköping. A town which has one of the largest Christian communities in Sweden, so it’s not a coincidence that all of the siblings were brought up with Chrisitian values. As kids, they were all singing in church, and from then on their musical bond has just grown stronger. The fact that they formed a band already in elementary school wasn’t a surprise.

Sara, the bassist, along with the drummer Adam, are the older ones in the band and stand for experience, while the guitarist Nora and the singer Isak bring a young approach to their music. Their songs are based on their Christian upbringing. Although it’s not their intention to speci¬fically make lyrics with connections to Christianity, their religion is still a big part of the siblings’ lives, so it’s more or less inevitable. They sing about experiences in the fields of love, hate and hurt, which everybody can relate to - not only Christians
