Jane Godfrey comes from a large family of musicians and artists. She began singing harmonies with her siblings at an early age, and picked up the guitar when she was eleven. Her leap into songwriting didn't occur until more recent years and she subsequently began making road trips to Nashville where her songwriting skills were nurtured through songwriting workshops and writers' showcases, including the Bluebird Cafe. Jane performs locally and regionally and is currently writing and recording songs for her next CD and other projects. She is passionate about writing and loves writing for specific projects and for other artists, as well as for herself.
