At 13, John was the lead singer and guitarist of a metal band. The band split after 2 yrs. Over the next 3 yrs he picked up the guitar sparsely but during this time his interest in music expanded as he discovered the likes of Tori Amos. From that point on music became much more to him than a few distorted chords over a screaming voice. He picked up an acoustic guitar at 18 and left metal behind. At 28 he is now vigorously writing, recording and promoting his music. He has thrust himself onto the local scene and has won a contest, which gave him a spot on a compilation CD that is to be released by JIB Machine Records late this summer. His songwriting mirrors life‘s triumphs and tragedies. His lyrics are such that they touch not only the hearts but the very souls of his listeners. John’s greatest attribute is his relentless pursuit of his goals. He is compelled to take his love for music to another level and is in pursuit of a major record deal. He will expire before he accepts failure.
