Singer/Songwriter Karl Sky has been penning melodic, catchy Roots Rock/Americana tunes for years. In 2000 Mr. Sky formed a beneficial relationship with Nashville legend Scotty Turner (Songwriter/Lead guitarist for Tommy Sands & The Raiders/Executive Producer of Liberty/Imperial Records.) The mentorship that Scotty provided allowed Karl to become a better writer both lyrically and musically. Captain Kidd Music/BMI signed Mr. Sky's "Warm Kentucky Wind" as well as Karl's 1st collection of music, "Guess It's Time"
Karl's style resembles early singer/songwriters of the 70's such as James Taylor, Elton John, Moody Blues & John Denver. Ben Ohmart of The Muse's Muse goes a little further comparing his some of his works to Led Zeppelin III/George Harrison, claiming Sky writes like a pop star. Reviewer Mike Aydelott further commented, "Well realized songs from a seasoned and skilled songwriter"
