Kristy Landgren is a singer-songwriter with a pop/rock style that lends itself to upbeat, optimistic, and reflective music. The piano, organ and keyboard are her instruments and she frequently collaborates with Ryan Hale for his percussive contributions. She has taken much of her songwriting inspiration from the classic simplicity of The Bealtes, the thoughtful imagination of the Moody Blues, the inspirational sincerity of Faith Hill, and the charming flare of Shania Twain. She loves life, family, fiends and music and this enjoyment is revealed through an ongoing determination to express herself in lyric and song.

Kristy Landgren was born in Rockford, Illinois, into a very musical family. Her mother commenced her musical education with piano lessons at age 4; she played throughout school and in garage bands, sang in and provided accompaniments for A Capella choir, participated in musicals, variety shows, community Corrales and began playing the organ for her Church at age 16. Since she loves poetry and music, she was naturally drawn to songwriting as an avenue for personal expression and artistic enjoyment.
Kris graduated from Chicago's Loyola University - School of Dentistry/Dental Hygiene program in 1979. She became licensed to practice Dental Hygiene in California, Illinois and Arizona. In 1994, she was appointed to serve on the State of California's Dental Board - The Committee on Dental Auxiliaries. She served the citizens of California for nine years, completing her two terms of service and a grace year, in 2003.
Kris reconvened with childhood friend/musician, John Copeland, and with brother/musician, John Landgren, to form the band, Landmark. They produced and recorded "Open Up Your Heart" and "Heal Your Broken Heart". Marriages, divorces, and job transfers eventually separated them, although they often reunite for special occasions and musical events.
Kris loves juggling the world of science and art, practicing Dental Hygiene by day and playing Musician by night. She continues to write and perform her songs around the Los Angeles area and is always on the lookout for a willing and able guitarist with whom to join musical forces. She finds great reward in her efforts to contribute to the dental health and musical well-being of her patients and her fans!
