Someone singing their heart & soul out.....Guitar and Vocal melodies you cant stop humming....Lyrics that are real and moving...
If you like the sound of that...then this music is probably meant for you.
About me
Hi!
Right....where to begin, well since Im assuming you probably dont know me....my name is Mark Villarosa.
Id like to consider myself a songwriter - and I guess I am, since Ive been writing tunes since as long as I can remember.
Born on the sunny island of the Philippines, I made my way over to the big smoke of London when I was younger and Ive been living here ever since. A few years of 6th form, a little bit of University and after what seemed a lifetime paying off student debts found myself swept along the tide of making my way through life in this vibrant, colourful, exciting and sometimes dark and unforgiving city.
My day job keeps the bills at bay - but being in an office all day isnt exactly what Id call "living the life" - its probably a dead cert that most of us would rather be doing something other than be stuck behind a desk if we had the choice.
Music is a great way for me to escape...and to "live the life" if only for a few moments when Im on stage at a gig, or jamming with other musicians.
Itd be great to play music for a living - what a concept! actually getting paid for doing what you love. But like most people, I havent quite figured it out for myself yet - either that, or I havent yet found the courage to step completely into that void....but Im getting there!
Anyway, until that magic moment when I have it all worked out....I'll be using this page for my music.. just a small step towards taking it to the world...
Stay tuned to this page and add me as a friend if you like what youre hearing, Ill have some more tunes up here soon. Feel free to message me or comment on your own place in this great whirly-gig of life......Id be interested to hear from you if youre on a similiar journey to go from where you are ...to where you really want to be.....
Cheers!
Mark
