Robert K. Oermann calls her CD Daisies In My Hand a "total charmer", giving her a DisCovery Award in Music Row magazine. Harp magazine says her songs are "as heartbreaking as [they] are heartwarming". The Toronto Sun recently gave her album a four-star review, calling it "Flawless." Her band consists of some of the most in-demand players in Americana: Rick Plant (Buddy/Julie Miller), Craig Wright (Todd Snider, Steve Earle), Michael Webb (Amy Rigby), and Mark Miller (Brooklyn Cowboys). Wood blends honky-tonk, bluegrass, pop, rock and folk to seamlessly form a new one – her own. The music is melodic, striking and diverse. Growing up on St. Louis' southside, she got a steady dose of blue collar life. It's no surprise Wood's a visual artist as images extend across the song’s surface, as if painted on a canvas. Now based in Nashville, Wood's gotten under the radar and has no plans of moving anywhere but up.
