Michael Browne was born on May 31, 1986 in Brooklyn, New York to proud parents Felix and Michele Browne. At the age of 8, Mike's parents moved to South Brunswick, New Jersey. Even though Mike performed at talent shows in elementary and middle schools, it was in high school he discovered his true passion for singing ,dancing and writing. Mike was a member of the Jersey City dance company ,Breathe, where he quickly rose to chereographer and he has been performing his original songs at night clubs all over New Jersey. Mike writes all his songs and also writes songs for other local artists. In the summer of 2006, Mike released his promotional mixed CD, Summer Nights, which was well received by his fans. To put his personal stamp on the genre of R&B is Mike's vision for the future.

Michael Browne was born on May 31, 1986 in Brooklyn, New York to proud parents Felix and Michele Browne. He is the middle child of three children. When Mike was eight years old, the family moved to South Brunswick, New Jersey, their current place of residence. Undoubtedly, Mike discovered his love of music during his first Christmas in New Jersey, when his dad bought the kids a karaoke machine. Mike could be heard for hours upon hours crooning along to Boyz ll Men songs on that machine. In the third grade, his audition as a solo dance act earned him a spot in the school talent show as the grand finale performance. By the fourth grade, he was a regular in school talent shows, often recruiting friends to perform with him in crowd-pleasing dance routines.
When Mike entered high school, he added another talent to his repertoire, singing. His high school years were filled with singing at everything from football games to school assemblies. In his junior year, he single handedly put together a dance troupe named SB2K2 and entered them in the school talent show. The group landed in first place due to a cleverly choreographed routine by Mike to a medley of hip hop songs. To gain further singing experience, Mike joined the choir at a local church, where he diligently helped to create a unique choir for teen mass services. Two years later, he accepted a position as youth choir director, becoming the church’s youngest director to date and a role model in the community. In his senior year, Mike also got the chance, to act, sing and dance when he scored a prestigious role as the scarecrow, in the East Brunswick Academy of Music’s production of The Wizard of Oz.
The summer of 2005 introduced Mike to live entertainment when religious rapper Righteous B invited him to perform at the Proud to Be Catholic concert in Massachusetts. Thousands of teenagers showed up to support the artists and their faith. The concert was deemed a success. At the age of 19, Mike joined a Jersey City based dance company, Breathe, where before long he rose from member to choreographer.
Breathe performed at Hot Import Nights in Atlantic City, Club Avalon in NYC, and at Rutgers University events. In 2006, he performed his original songs at clubs all around the tri-state area including el Imperial Café, Café Havana, Harbor Town Tavern and Erricos. Upcoming club performances include Club Abyss and Coliseum in New Jersey, Club Avalon in NYC and Club Sky in Tampa.
In addition to performing, Mike has been involved in a number of noteworthy projects this year including the release of his promotional mixtape , Summer Nights. Summer Nights was distributed to club DJs and gained popularity among young club goers. Mike currently writes songs for local artists and continues to write all of his own lyrics. A new track, “Just Being Real” demonstrates that his talent goes beyond singing, to both writing and producing. Many of his fans in the tri-state area check out his Myspace.com profile to listen to the songs he posts and provide feedback on his shows and music. Impressively, Mike’s music profile page has had over 5,000 hits, since he created it a few months ago. He describes himself as an R&B artist whose role models and inspiration are Stevie Wonder, Dru Hill, Boyz II Men, Jon B, Usher, Brian Mcknight, Mariah Carey and Baby Face. Mike hopes to follows in the footsteps of his music heroes and put his personal stamp on the genre of R&B.
