NEST is sultry, ethereal, melodic rock driven by rich keyboard-centered soundscapes, hauntingly pretty vocals, & bittersweet, emotional hooks. Ayana's vibrant, haunting voice is the vehicle for solid songwriting & intensely honest lyrics which set up an intimate conversation between artist and listener. The fresh, seductive sound has been often compared to Fiona Apple, Portishead, & Imogen Heap. The songs combine captivating melodies with lush soundscapes constructed from both acoustic and electronic instruments, reflecting influences such as Radiohead, Björk, Jeff Buckley, & The Postal Service.

Nest has been attracting a local following with regular gigs at LA indie rock havens like the Hotel Cafe, tons of recent buzz on indie music blogs, & radio play on Indie 103.1 FM and regional college stations. Their 6-song debut EP was released in Dec. 2005; "Ultraviolet" will get a feature spot on the new Fox show "Desire," & other songs will be in the MTV show "My Super Sweet 16."
