Okay....the cat's out of the bag. Or the voice is out of the person! It's Peter Buffett singing these songs. Originally an instrumental artist with a number of CDs and soundtracks under his belt (including the "Firedance" from Dances With Wolves), Peter was a bit nervous to put this music out under his own name. Of course, once people started to give it a thumbs up, he changed his mind.
Songs of love, heartbreak and redemption.
Coming Around Again
COMING AROUND AGAIN
You talk about a new direction
On roads that only you can see
I?m listening on a bad connection
Hearing words that make no sense to me
Don?t be a version of a sad perfection
Of someone else?s mediocrity
But I don?t see you making one concession
To make the world that you profess to see
You want it happily ever after
To drown out the years with laughter
But you can?t stop the falling rain
It?s coming around again
If you can?t tell me what you?re after
It won?t help if you just run faster
When everything stays the same
There?s nobody else to blame
The meaning?s lost in all the repetition
It?s hard to be there for another try
But you always have a new condition
You always have the perfect reason why
So tell me all about the new invention
Of what you offer all the world to see
And I?ll applaud in all appreciation
And hope this time it?s what you want to be
You want it happily ever after
To drown out the years with laughter
But you can?t stop the falling rain
It?s coming around again
If you can?t tell me what you?re after
It won?t help if you just run faster
When everything stays the same
There?s nobody else to blame
It?s coming around again?.
