In a sunny hayfield, Van Gogh and Debussy put on a picnic, but Paul Simon and Picasso get real serious so James Taylor sings, Pat Metheny weeps and Miles Davis snickers from a nearby hilltop....
...this is the place where I go to write and play music......see ya' there.

Stuff.....

....Started with drums at age 5 and guitar at age 8. wide variety of influences have shaped my music for many years. grew up playing acoustic Blues, Folk and hearing Classical music at large volume cranked through the house throughout childhood. Dad was nuts for Brahms, Rachmaninoff, Debussy, Mozart. Later got completely swallowed up in Jazz guitar....Django Reinhardt, Wes Montgomery, Pat Metheny, Joe Pass, Billy Rogers....and studied 1 year at GIT in Hollywood. Also the great bebop horn guys...Miles, Coltrane and Bird....also Bill Evans, Herbie and Chick. Nowadays, in my songwriting and composition, I try to let all the influences happen at once. That way I might sound like a simple Folk singer in the verse and then wander into some Debussy-esqe chords and voicings in the bridge. I believe the true gift in all Art in general and Music in particular is the transport of the observer/listener to a new place of perspective and understanding, not known before.

I've worked with/opened for Tom Prasada-Rao, David Wilcox, Pierce Pettis, Louise Taylor, Martin Sexton, Chuck Pyle...

Lately, my instrumentals have been used on Discovery Channel, Travel Channel, HGTV and Discovery Health Channel.
