Solo Performer/Audio Engineer
970-319-8164
As a guitarist/singer, Rick has been touring throughout the United States and has performed in venues of all sizes, with different band line-ups for many years. He began performing in 1974 in Apple Valley, CA with his first band Oasis, which set the tone for the rest of his career. Throughout the years, in an attempt to stay near the industry, Rick has worked in many places where he encountered industry professionals and well known artists, working behind the scenes, watching and learning. Eventually becoming a recording engineer, he was finally able to begin work on his own original music and began producing and recording for other artists and bands. Rick’s first album was recorded in Dallas, TX in 1985 and was called Neon Max, a collection of rock with Americana themes. The second release was recorded in Milwaukee, WI in 1999 at Oy Studios under the band name Volt Haus. The CD was titled Paradox and the music was dark and heavy.
Rick plays all tracks on his CD’s; produces and records them in his studio, Digital Directions. Newly released albums from Rick Jones include; From Out of No Where, which was Rick’s first solo/digital album; Jazz 4 Windows, a fusion style with house and hip-hop beats; Guardian of the Realm, a very dark and heavy metal Goth rap film score; as well as a collection of blues and rock.. The tour for 2003/2004 is called Rick Jones is Volt Haus and the Solo Metal/Rock Show. After finishing his tour throughout Hollywood, Rick relocated to Aspen, CO. Current projects include The Ultimate Guitar Clinic, sharing his knowledge of guitars, and writing/producing/recording sound tracks for film and television.
