If you were a fan of the 80's hard rock and heavy metal movement, then you might understand where I come from. The eclectic variations heard in hard rock and metal can be found interlacing through my songs.

All forms of music can be heard throughout, but the driving force of heavy guitars and bass will not let the arena rock craze fade away into a hazy memory.

So, I hope you like what I got. If you do, great!

My name is Scott Barton. Spread the word.

I was born in Southern California and moved to Oregon shortly after. I think I started to play guitar around 10 years old and started playing a lot more often at 12. Influenced by all of the great 70's & 80's 'arena' rock bands, my style followed suit. What was going on at that time was a very pivotal moment in music history and my life.
I was never in a real band, complete with drums, vocals, guitar and bass, until 1992. I auditioned for a band named Split Image and got the gig. We played locally in the Portland metro area at the usual smoke filled bars and clubs. Our biggest run was at Dr. Feelgoods in Aloha and Tigard, Oregon. In June of '96 we called it quits. Our 'lives' got in the way, I guess.
Then in about 1998, I started work on a few originals and 2 months later, I had a 4 song demo put together. I started playing with a few local musicians and tried some different things, but nothing ever panned out.
I started working very diligently on more new music in 2003. I now have 4 CD's. 3 contain original material, some instrumental songs, and the 3rd contains all instrumental covers.
At this time, the vocals have not been recorded. The drums were programmed by me using FL Studios and I play all guitars and bass.
I believe you can really hear all of that 'arena' rock sound and energy in these songs.

Thank you so much for saying something. I have thought about it but the genre classification for the licensing opp's are not accurate and my songs don't get picked.
