SESPOOL is the stage name of San Francisco singer, songwriter, and producer Sean E. After a decade in the Bay Area indie rock scene, most notably as the bassist of alt folk trio Rin Tin Tiger, he released his first solo full length album "(this love is) eternal" independently in July of 2019. The follow up album "before the fog covers me" arrives on all streaming platforms October 9, 2020.

Sean E's melancholic lyrics float in and out of synth-drenched soundscapes lead by hard hitting bass-heavy grooves and guitar, influenced by artists like Pink Floyd, Mew, Juice Wrld, and Travis Scott. The sound combines elements of progressive rock, trap, and metal with a smooth gloss of dream pop for an experience that is very modern but rooted in a love for what makes classic albums and songwriting so undeniable.

Ah got it, considering there's the word "cesspool" calling yourself SESPOOL is both dark and funny at the same time.

haha yes cesspool is a disgusting word and as a writer I love wordplay ;) surprisingly the amount of people that misspell "cesspool" as "sespool" on places like twitter is truly shocking lol

Just kind of stumbled on this. very interesting and creative stuff. Bay Area based as well. I toured and played in the City quite a bit many years ago with my band Sunset Red. Everyone is recording and doing there own things now. I'm still licensing our music for projects and recorded my own CD with all songs I've written. Its really mellow compared to what you have going on but I love all styles. I'm a huge Tool fan and as a drummer, grew up on Rush, Floyd, anything really. Keep at it. Just wanted to say I am digging your stuff. If your doing any shows in the Bay Area let me know I would be happy to spread the word and come check you guys if your playing live.
