Daniel Slack (SLACKA)
Long time student of music I played the accordion, drums, cello, string bass, violin, sax, organ and piano. Studied musical theory and harmony with Robert Hodgson at Woburn High School, the best teacher I ever had, a true artist.
My Grandmother was a concert pianist in London. Grandfather was a tympanist in London Philharmonic Orchestra. Uncle Bob London, was a famous piano/singer in New York, Miami, Vegas and later retired to Atlanta Georgia. Bob was also was a great friend and musical accompanist to the comedians Martha Rea and Jerry Lewis.
I also studied Jazz guitar with a Berklee School of Music Alumni Anthony Uriano, whom I consider to be one of the best technical guitar players I have ever known.
I was lucky to have grown up in a musical environment. I went to school with some of the most talented people in the entertainment business. Guitar player Jim Monahan, writer/actor Eric Bogosian, movie/Broadway producers Fred Zollo and Nick Paleologos.
I spent a good part of my early musical life filling up bars with people and selling lots of booze. Not my scene. I remember one bar owner reviewing our song list for a potential gig and cutting all the slow dance songs in favor of hard driving rock. He explained
" I'm paying you guys to make em sweat and drink, got it"
Enjoy the songs guys, drink all you want ! Thanks!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
