I used to perform at this great little room in Providence, Rhode Island that is located on one of the many rivers that flow through or by this fantastic city...and one night i stepped outside on a cool early evening and sniffed the night and I saw two lovers kising under a dim street light.. I also saw a guy looking at them in a reflecting way and the song wrote itself.

The song's mood is melancholy, not regretful or sad...reminising about a love and a night in the past that would be nice to do all over again..it's all about romance and the desire to recapture it...again and again...
