Story Behind The Song
Lalita grew up in a cult, so this song was written about her feelings of leaving that religion and the fall-out of realising that the belief system you grew up with is a load of crap. The religious icons of Angels and Heaven were chosen not because of her background, but because they are more universally understood and identified with.
Song Description
This song is about the unspoken result of losing faith in your religion. No-one ever talks about those who get spat out of the back end of religion and this song is dedicted to those people.

Lyrics
Broken-winged Angel,
In my garden,
Halo is twisted melted.
My broken-winged Angel,
Looks so lovely,
But who does he serve now?
Heaven fell,
It took you with it,
The price we pay for our beliefs.
We choose our armies,
We choose our heroes,
But we can't choose our gods.
Broken-winged Angel,
You look so hopeless,
Did he rape your innocence.
Oh my broken-winged Angel,
Forget about heaven,
I'm sure the won't miss you,
But I'm the one who will.
Heaven fell,
It took you with it,
The price we pay for our beliefs.
We choose our armies,
We choose our heroes,
But we can't choose out gods.
Don't look back my friend,
You know that things don't change.
It always remains the same,
And I know you'd regret it in the end.
Heaven fell,
It took you with it,
The price we pay for our beliefs.
We choose our armies,
We choose our heroes,
But we can't choose our gods.
Heaven fell,
Heaven fell.
