Story Behind The Song
Lalita wrote the lyrics to this song about her experience of waking up and realising that her life was being wasted by the beliefs of her parents. The experience was like looking into the sun and the shock of doing that was comparable to the shock of her discovery. It is also about her anger and having to pay the consequences of her parents actions and her weariness from putting up with all the excuses they came up.

Lyrics
I never wanted any of this,
It was always just there,
And I took it all for granted.
I opened up my eyes,
And I couldn't believe the waste,
Is there someone I can blame?
Who is right, who is wrong?
I don't even care,
It really doesn't matter.
If there was someone watching,
Why do you still suffer,
Go an punish yourselves anyway.
Sunshine in my eyes,
I can't see,
I can't see.
Sunshine in my eyes,
I can't see,
I can't see.
Who is right, who is wrong?
I don't even care,
It really doesn't matter.
Wasted, wanting to live once more.
Living, leaving the life I know.
Sunshine in my eyes,
I can't see,
I can't see.
Sunshine in my eyes,
I can't see,
I can't see.
