Story Behind The Song
This is a song I wrote in the 70's but never got round to recording properly. I recently thought of it when I saw an opportunity looking for 70's style songs and quoting 'Bread' as an example. I didn't get this finished in time for the opportunity, but it is a blatant attempt at getting that feel.

Lyrics
Endless Dream (words and music by Alan Gillis)
Verse 1
Holding her - wanting you
Knowing it's wrong, but what can I do
Sleepless Nights - wrongs and rights
No way out - can't do with you
Chorus
In my endless dream there's no happy ending
You're more than a friend in my life
And my endless night is only beginning
No way of winning - No way to fight
Verse 2
Living here - dying too
Close my eyes so I can see you
Stars above - never shining
There's the cloud but where is the lining
Repeat chorus
Interlude
Repeat chorus
