Jeremy split up with me after I spent some time away from him in New York. I'd been rather successful there, but he wasn't ready to launch from Detroit. I returned to Detroit to be with him, which was a huge step and career sacrifice. A few years later I shared the song with him and asked him to play keyboards. He was pretty uncomfortable with the "icky" feelings in it, but life is life and to be in love means you have to deal with all of this!
