Story Behind The Song
Having lived a life in advertising, I'm aware how much modern life has created a 'Wish List' for everyone that's too long and unnecessary. This is my statement which is intended to help me, and maybe others, to realise we usually have all that we need and should learn to simply want what we have.
Song Description
We all have a 'Wish List' which is longer than it needs to be, created by a world in which advertising and social conformity tells us how we should be living our lives. This means almost everybody wishes that their lives were other than what they are, despite usually having everything they need. We all need to learn to want what we have.

Lyrics
All wanting, entitled
Desires are unbridled
More money, more fast cars
More time in sick health spas
Cool partners, fast broadband
No end to our demand
No sense of what's plenty
Our full lives are empty
The poor wish they were rich
The single wish to wed
The rich want happiness
The wed wish they were dead!!
I wish we could enshrine
What we have is just fine
The wish list is too long
Have it all? You're all wrong!
The poor wish they were rich
The single wish to wed
The rich want happiness
The wed wish they were dead!!
