Story Behind The Song
A story of two teenagers in the 60's, lives and distance apart. Who first noticed each other one summer, and then saw each other for just a few short summers and one New Year afterwards. Their too short story is told across four songs, and even in recent Sensuous Winter Wild Seas.
Song Description
The story of attraction and first love takes place in beautiful wild Westmorland, in a small hamlet at the feet of the majestic and magnificent Pennines, across rugged fells and hill farms; crossing the fifties' and sixties' steam trains line, axed to great loss by Beeching. Remnants of the age of squires, the Hall and Servants Cottages, The George & Dragon Inn and its evocative cellar, view across The Fells, to the feet of The Pennines. Mrs Atkinson's Cottage, Mrs Scratcher's Cottage, Old Bob Horn's Farmhouse, Mr Todd's Farm, Redman's Cottage & Orchard and the peaceful to wild beautiful Eden salmon river. Wood, hayfields, patchwork of dry stone walls. The Inn's old hen field, large old stone pig pens, vegetable garden, best rose and dahlia garden, velvet lawn, strawberry patch, secret bowers tucked in ivy on stone, winding old A6 to market town, to His cottage, His cottage to market town, His cottage to the old George & Dragon.

Lyrics
As beads run past her hot dry throat,
down little breasts, soft hid, remote.
Her golden waist, beneath mauve blouse,
as her breaths rise and wake arouse.
Chorus
Young summer girl's coming
from winter a' strumming,
she's in love and so cares,
in lilac and love tears. love cares
in lilac and love tears.
His hidden eyes move summer leaves,
our breaths on wind fly on to sea?
his footfall cracks soft twigs in wood,
moves for a glimpse from place he stood.
Refrain- You come and bring, such different things,
wear summer flowers, make daisy rings,
and when the mist returns you close your wings,
to hibernate you summer girl.
A tear in jeans waves as she walks,
a spot of blood, barbed wire had caught.
Grand jette leap, a scissor scythe
came down too soon and caught her thigh.
Chorus
Young summer girl's coming
from winter a' strumming,
she's in love and so cares,
in lilac and love tears. love cares
in lilac and love tears.
No patch at inn, oh stitches hold,
at least for summer, and love bold,
like a gazelle, dance over fells,
and where love follows, tells me well.
Repeat Chorus.
