Story Behind The Song
When I wrote this song, I was going through a crossroads in my life- It was kinda bitter-sweet. I had to leave something/someone that I cared about but it was leading me nowhere. It was tough to say goodbye to this chapter in my life, but at the same time I was filled with excitement about the possible and it brought me to love that was deeper and richer than i ever imagined could happen for me.

Lyrics
(V1)
I'm sure you only ever meant well, but I've thrown my last coin down this wishing well.
A gust of wind must have put out the fire, now I'm so tired of feeling sick and tired
(CH)
I'm trying it my way now, I'm finding my way out, You know I tried it your way but now I see, I only wanna find my way back to me.
(V2)
I do appreciate your free advice, but how come I'm the one that sacrifices. Take one last long look into these eyes, I've never been the type for long goodbyes-
