Olmaz Olmaz

Story Behind The Song

Olmaz Olmaz is a Turkish love song. It was made famous by Turkish singer Ibrahim Tatlises. There is no literal translation into English but basically Olmaz means ' no way, never, would not ' In relation to this song Olmaz basically means, " Never say never to the one who loves you " We translated the Turkish into English and our English lyrics are an excellent representation of the song. We took the driving traditional Turkish 6/8 rhythm and fueled it kanoon (Middle Eastern string hammer dulcimer), saz (Turkish stringed lute), doumbek (Middle Eastern drum), riq (Middle Eastern tambourine), keyboards, guitar, bass and drum kit. Vocals are sung in both Turkish and English so that westerners can understand it. We love the way the traditional canon works with a scorching guitar solo. Olmaz Olmaz is one of our most requested dance songs.

Olmaz Olmaz is a Turkish love song. We sing in both Turkish and English. We translated the Turkish into English and our English lyrics are an excellent representation of the song.

Verse 1
Our problems may seem like mountains
Mountains so high you can touch the snow
These problems may seem like mountains
but mountains have valleys where flowers grow
and valleys have rivers where water flows
Down to the sea of life and changes
Don't turn away but in wonder
Never say never to the one who loves you.
Olmaz Olmaz Olmaz ......

Verse 3
Time always brings on the seasons
But seasons of love are not what they seem.
Turkish
Our days will not pass without love dreams
Far from the land of wind and waiting
