Story Behind The Song
Having met a handsome, engaging, and prestigious young man just before the college year ended, I returned to my parent's home, 400 miles away. I was thinking about how I felt, how much I missed him, and in a very lonely state I wrote this, my second song.

I Really Miss You (I Miss The Tender Smile You Gave Me) [Country Version] Lyrics:
I miss the ten-der smile you gave me
when I drove away;
And I miss the ten-der way you held me,
I want-ed so to stay.
But the world plays fun-ny games a-round me,
Oh, I wish that you had found me
soon-er, but I know it's just a wa-ste
to day-dream the way I do;
I real-ly mi-ss you.
I miss the time we spent to-geth-er
play-ing in the park;
And I miss the way we stayed a-wake just
lay-ing in the dark.
I miss the way you held me tight,
I miss the talks we had at night,
I'm pray-ing that you'll miss me that way too;
I real-ly mi-ss you.
My time a-way, it seems so lone-ly
be-ing far from home;
The time to come I wish for on-ly
to be with you all a-lone.
And can't you see that it must be
that lov-ing you is a part of me,
that be-ing here takes that part of me a-way;
I real-ly mi-ss you.
I miss the way you held me tight,
I miss the talks we had at night,
I'm pray-ing that you'll miss me that way too;
I real-ly mi-ss you.
But the world plays fun-ny games a-round me,
Oh, I wish that you had found me
soon-er, but I know it's just a wa-ste
to day-dream the way I do;
I real-ly mi-ss you.
I real-ly mi-ss you.
