Story Behind The Song
Years ago, I used to visit a Thai restaurant regularly and generously tip the waitress, who was named Yupadee. I think something got lost in translation, because she mistook my usual banter and flirting for a marriage proposal. This story did not have a happy ending, and I'm no longer welcome at that restaurant, but I wish her well and hope she found a nice guy.
