Lyrics
It's another Sunday morning, and the sun comes up.
Little Johnny is waking and looking for his truck.
He runs down the hall and jumps in their bed.
Then he smiles, and looks at them and says,
"Can we go to the place where the kids are all my size?
Can I see that little lady who always makes me smile?
Can I play with the blocks and the play-doh, too?
You see, at this place I know I'm special, too. I wanna go."
Well, mom and dad are tired; they fought all night long.
Could they keep up this act? Would something else go wrong?
You see, dad lost his job, and mommy is sad.
If they could only see what Jesus has.
Jesus is the life. He's the truth, the light, the way.
If they would only open up and say,
"Can we go to the place where the people are like me? --
where the women wipe their tears and fall down on their knees,
and the men slowly bow as they finally give in.
You see, at this place the healing begins.
I wanna go.
And now time has passed, and mom and dad are new.
They've given their lives to Jesus, and have something to look forward to.
Little Johnny is grown and telling the town
about this man who'll never let them down,
"You wanna go to the place where the kids are all your size?
Wanna see a little lady who can always make you smile?
Wanna play with the blocks and some play-doh, too?
You see, at this place you'll know you're special, too.
You wanna go?"
