Story Behind The Song
I used to tour coast to coast, not only with my own band but with bands I managed and helped grow into having their own name throughout the Midwest. For personal reasons I opted to return home for a number of years before venturing out into the life of the road again. L.A. was home for a while to me... and for like so many others, she was only a temporary home.
Song Description
This song talks about how so many people find LA - whether it's to pursue a dream of acting, singing, modeling... or just a life long dream vacation... L.A. has seen her share of people come and leave and she never misses anyone. There will always be another person right behind those who depart. Some find their dreams . Some just move on. But LA will always remain.

Lyrics
I took a walk along the Boardwalk
Her last expression calls to me
I left her longing for attention
But something tells me she won't find
It hard to fill the void
And I know
It's out of the ordinary
When I sleep she calls to me
When I sleep she calls to me
When I sleep she calls to me
L.A.
Like some of the girls I met her briefly
While I was passing by
Got caught on her curves and sun soaked shores
Her eyes that shone bright into the evening
And something tells me I won't mind
The way that she smiles at everyone
And I know
It's out of the ordinary
When I sleep she calls to me
When I sleep she calls to me
When I sleep she calls to me
L.A.
L.A.
And though the memories all turn gray
I pine for her
I need her near
And like some plastic souvenir
I'm cast away
Left longing for L.A.
I took a walk along the Boardwalk
Her last expression calls to me
