Story Behind The Song
I had a divorce in 1994 and the song just appeared for me, and attached to my love for the Eagles.
Song Description
This is a song reminiscent of 90's Eagles, in which the singer has had problems with his significant other, and must still be working on it, although it's very difficult to keep together.
In the middle, he describes love as a moving train that you must "hold on tight", or keep a close eye on to keep it from destroying itself.

Lyrics
Nobody Said It Was Gonna Be Easy
(c) 2007 by Danny Jones
Nobody said, it would be easy
When two hearts have minds of their own
One demands that, the other wants this
Neither one is gonna settle for less
But nobody said, it was gonna be easy
You say I don't talk, I say you don't listen
Sometimes I think you'd rather run
From the voice of reason
Through senseless fights, and sleepless nights
It's a wonder that our love has survived
But nobody said, no no, it was gonna be easy
Love is like a moving train, keeps goin faster
So you gotta just hold on tight
To avoid a disaster, yea...
And you know it ain't easy
Nobody said it would be easy
Love is funny, love is strange
Sometimes you have to slam the door shut
On a love you can't change
You give it your best shot, but you can't hit
You play the puzzle but the pieces won't fit
But nobody said, it was gonna be easy
Nobody said, no no, it was gonna be easy
