Story Behind The Song

The song was inspired by an obituary I came upon by accident about an 8 year old boy. Part of the Eulogy was about building a stairway with tears. The song came to me that evening.

Feeling the emotional loss of losing someone close and realizing that very person is the one who was always there for us, to help us get through times like this....Knowing that if Tears Could Build A Stairway...they would be here for us once again.
