The song begins with an intro of background vocals, bass, guitar and drums. At :15 the first verse begins with female lead vocals.
At :33 the prechorus begins, leading into a slight bpm and style change at :50 for the chorus.
At 1:06 the style and bpm revert back to the original, for the second verse, with the prechorus at 1:23. Background vocals intensify the feel of the prechorus, building into the second chorus at 1:39 which is an extended version of the first chorus.
At 2:11, the second chorus leads into a bridge with vocal ad libbed runs over intensified background vocals.
At 2:45 the chorus comes back in led by a solo drum fill. Vocals become more intense and a horn section of trumpet and alto saxophone are added to the instrumentation until the song ends at 3:20.
