Lyrics
We must have dark to see the sunlight
A balance in all things
Nature's waves roll on forever
That's the way it's always been
If we spend our time looking out for bad things
That's all we'll ever see
Turn around and see the sunshine
And let the shadows be
And stop carrying the princess
You've got to learn to let it go
Stop carrying the princess
And let your future grow
We can get lost in the endless eddies
In the ocean of our minds
And when we're swept up by the current
The peaceful center's hard to find
But we can find some new life growing
In the forest that's been burned
And when the old gives way to new things
What's been learned can be unlearned
I see hope for us tomorrow
'Though we feel the rain today
We know the pain will soon be fading
From the wounds of yesterday
So don't give up on us so soon babe
The sun is shining bright
Just open up your fist and reach out
And you will feel love's healing light
