Song Description
This is an older one that I wrote about a father who feels like he's losing his daughter... as she growing up and it's not as "cool" to hang out with Dad anymore.
This (like my older tunes) was recorded pre-studio and pre-Pro Tools, with either an Tascam four track or a Fostex eight track. I'm pretty sure this one was recorded on the Fostex.

Lyrics
Girl Please Don't Go
Words and music Frank Pietrantoni © 1997
Sam DiBaise (Vocals and Guitars),
Girl it just seems that you're not with me.
I look into your eyes
And I don't recognize
The girl I see.
And when I call your name
You look so ashamed
Of knowing me.
And when I touch your hand
I don't understand
Why you pull away from me.
Girl please don't go
My heart needs you don't you know
That the time moves too fast
So gotta make it last
I'm alone on my knees
Can't you hear me cryin' please?
Girl you keep sayin' that you're lovin' me.
But this game we play
Is not the way
Love's supposed to be.
When I take you out
All you talk about
Is how you're feeling old.
And when we stay at home
I feel like I'm alone
With no one there to hold.
Girl please don't go
My heart needs you don't you know
That the time runs too fast
So gotta make it last
I'm alone on my knees
Can't you hear me cryin' please?
Girl Don't let go
My heart aches
And I miss you so.
And our time was too fast
Take a journey to the past
I'm alone on my knees
Can't you hear me cryin' please?
Solo, break and chorus out
