Lyrics

The Sea of Life

Sensations swirl around my head
Emotion comes in waves I don't understand
I hear the voices soft and gentle
Feel the warm caressing of a loving hand
Unable to distinguish shooting stars
From bright reflections dancing on the blade of a knife
I emerge from this darkened chamber
Begin this wondrous journey in the sea of life

I begin to see the patterns
And to understand the movementof this changing sea
Evolving in my comprehension of relationships existing
Between the outer world and me
Making my own way along I navigate the middle ground
Between euphoria and strife
One being in this massive school
I continue on my way, swim the sea of life

Through shifting tides and changing currents
I learn the architecture and dividing lines
Seek to find my company among the friendly spirits
Of similar hearts and minds
With a kindred soul in harmony
Procreate my immortality in a union with my wife
And we treasure these new soul creations
Prepare these blessed beings to swim the sea of life

Nice song! Peaceful, flowing vibe, yet evocative with abounding metaphors. Very well thought out lyrics that complimented the pretty music. I also enjoyed the vocal overlaps or background harmonies. Reminds me of Christopher Cross, "Sailing" in the style and pace of the song. Well done!

Particularly liked the doubling up parts on the vocal. Reminded me of some tracks by the likes of Bread or Ben Watts (half of the english outfit Everything But The Girl). Lovely mellow and subtle strings really work well in the mix.

Nice song, laid back and relaxing. Great arrangement and the backing vocals fit in well and lift the song. Some nice guitar playing an fills make it sound great. Great work

Really smoothly flowing piece. Very deep theme and excellent instrumentation and great arrangement. Although somewhat more mellow than Pink Floyd, it still seems to have sort of a Pink Floyd vibe to it.

real nice atmosphere on this reminds me of floating in the gulf on a raft. nice background harmonies and overall sound
