Good lyrics, good message. I like the backing vocals. I could hear all of the instruments. The chorus is catchy, easy to sing with the chorus. The song flows together well. No surprises. I could imagine hearing this in a coffee house setting, a movie or show featuring newly married couples. Good job overall, keep God in the center of everything you do.
Nice harmonies with the background singing over the main singer
Cool groove, sort of island like... beach scene in my head
Pretty song!! Very nice, sincere, and sweetly delivered message! The playing and arrangement are nice. Vocals are pretty well done!
Well, This song has a very cool rhythm to it!! Very easy listening! The choice of instrumentation is quite excellent also!!
Unfortunately you lost me when the song became more Religious in Nature. I am sure there is a huge audience for Religious Music, so I am probably the wrong person to review a composition like this! This still is a very nice tune and I'm sure this artist/songwriter will find a Market for this tune! GOOD JOB SIR!!!
Nice harmonies and great lyrics
I like the "realness" of the singer - very authentic and honest. I think the sentiment is very sweet and sincere. The instrumentation is sparse and allows the listener to focus on the vocal.
It's a heartfelt song which makes clear statements regarding the writers relationships with his wife/wife to be, and Divinity. It's a personal statement, honestly expressed, that I can see being utilized at a wedding.
The drums struck me as nice and deliberately spacious through my earbuds. They had a wideness to them that still sat unobtrusively. Although I believe the acoustic guitar to be piezoelectric, it still had a nice roundness to the string that wasn't too spiky. The mixer had a good day.
I loved the rondo section towards the end, and the female singers voice blended nicely with the song fabric without ever cloying. Everything is congruent and complimentary.
a nice sentiment,
nice harmonies and vocal arrangement...
peace & musical love
I like the lyrics of the song.
theres a good message to this song its a positive song
good personal feel on the lyrics...thats important. i like the swing of it. decent acoustic tone. i hope the female vox in the background is the person this song is about :)
Good selection of instruments. Quality recording. ice arrangement. Loved the backing vocals, well placed in the mix and a god addition to the sound. Excellent arrangement of the background vocals, loved the answers. Cool parts, very unique and original... glad you have a sound all your own. Great groove, so hard to play slow and in the pocket at such a slow bpm.
I love the way the guitar and drums sound together. Very good lyrics a s well, I also love the female vocals. Sounds a little like Luther Vandross.
This song starts off with an uneven beat---or so it seems to me. That could be fixed easy enough. Nice to hear real drums too. Nice harmonies.
Here's a sweet Christian love song...great for a groom to sing to his bride on their wedding day. Sweetness and honesty permeate this track. It made me smile and wish there were more songs (and guys) like this in the world. The lovely harmonies and background vocals add to the charm. The chorus is memorable and singable. I really like the message this song communicates: that God in the center of a relationship is the best marriage ever. Vocals are crystal clear. Bravo!
Acoustics sound legit
Doug Mayberry's song "You Are" is a great testimonial to the loving relationship between a man and his wife in a Christ-centered marriage. This song could easily work in appropriate wedding videos or other music placement type scenarios that evoke similar, needed lyrical content to match picture. It's the type of song that should make a Christian wife feel loved and adored by her husband.
