Where the Moment Evolved

Story Behind The Song

The music came with the vision of a snowy day this winter. Believe me there's no more a depressing winter than an Indiana one. Obviously there's not much to do here.. :) Winters around here play hell on your emotions and just as easily can be your best muse for a song like this.. I think everybody learns how to deal with their depressing times, and inner demons, the older they get.. I think it boils down to realizing who's in control of these feelings, and if you let them, they'll drag you right the hell down into drugs, drinking, sometimes worse... This was my tribute to that realization. It's not an epic... I didn't want it to be.. But I did want to write a song that could be universal but yet center itself around that very concept. I think people need to hear songs like these every now and then.. I grew up in a Christian household,.. I really believe the single most important thing you will ever do in your life is be saved.

Lyrics

I've seen this all unfold
The stories you've written, the one's that you've told
I've seen the truth you've never shown
The one's that you've bought, the lies that you've sold

(chorus)

& You can

keep it all to yourself
fill your cup with someone else
climbing out, from an empty cell
into the love from which you fell

Out of the dark into the light
an angel reborn from your demise
& You'll see the change, when you open your eyes-

You're free to move on.

(verse)

Now you're standing here, where the moment evolved
& All the aspirations, have found some resolve
How could you be so sure, you'd find no relief
with so much grace to be given, & you've not yet received

(chorus)

& you can

Keep it all to yourself
fill your cup with someone else
climbing out from an empty cell
into the love from which you fell

and out of the dark into the light
an angel reborn from your demise
& You'll see the change, when you open your eyes....

You're free to move on...

You're free to move on.
