Story Behind The Song
Was given a songwriter's challenge; write a Christmas song with the title of a well-known Christmas songs as the hook. This was the result; one of my favorite compositions because I love Christmas music anyway.
Song Description
The shepherds are tending their sheep and it seems to be an ordinary night. It is quiet and, what would probably be normal for shepherds, the day and the stress has been put aside. It was the suprise of a lifetime.

Lyrics
Title: Most Holy Night
Composer: Kathy Myers
Verse 1
To the shepherds it seemed an ordinary night;
That Silent Night; most Holy Night.
Empty hearts, cold hands on that ordinary night.
That Silent Night; most Holy Night.
The stress of the day put to bed with the sheep.
The banter of friends put aside.
Tomorrow's a new day to struggle; they sighed
On that Silent Night; most Holy Night.
Verse 2
Waking up from their sleep on that ordinary night;
That Silent Night; most Holy Night.
Fearing what it could mean on that ordinary night;
That Silent Night; most Holy Night.
The Angel said, "Don't be afraid; God is near."
Light filled the sky; angels sang.
Go find the babe. All heaven rang.
On that Silent Night; most Holy Night.
Verse 3
We have seen the babe on this very special night;
This Silent Night; most Holy Night.
Hearts are healed; there's joy on this very special night;
This Silent Night; most Holy Night.
We can't stop our dancing as we walk the streets.
We've seen God's Son with our eyes.
Tomorrow's a new day; oh, what a surprise
On this Silent Night; most Holy Night.
