Lyrics
What difference?
What color do you happen to be?
What love do you happen to see?
What are the joys that set you free?
Red ... brown ... yellow ... black ... white ... all of it
Each has a place in the spectrum of light.
Different ages, different stages of the lives we each lead
Different genders, trans-genders, mind-benders - agreed!
Different incomes, different outlooks, different things we regret
Different languages and cultures, different jokes that fall flat
Different customs, different music ... difference is where it's at
When will we rise above our selves and learn to accept
Will we ever learn that it is right to respect?
Yes, it's true: it's easy to see ... Other
But what if we could see ourselves as actual Sister and Brother
So easily said, it sounds so pat
But we share just one planet ... you can't get around that.
What if we learn the value of the difference we each bring
Letting that difference divide us is not a good thing
If we accept each other's differences -- what difference would it make?
All the difference in the world - for everyone's sake.
