Story Behind The Song
My oarents divorced when I was very young and my mom raised my sister and I pretty much on her own. Times were tough and when I got a little older I rebelled. I made my own tough times but through it all I keep my sense of humor and the values my mom instilled in me. Be true to yourself and don't live a lie....and always remember to let things roll off your back. I love to laugh!

Lyrics
I was born in Oakland the younger of the two
My daddy was a working man (my) mama?d be there soon
Thought that they were happy ....something it went wrong
(And) mama took her babies on a road so very long
I hung around with bad boys
Lord I guess I flunked that test
'Cause I fell in love a hundred times to fill some emptiness
I thought knew a lot about this life when I was very young
Still many trials and tribulations on my path to overcome
(Chorus:) But, I?m still laughing
I guess I cried a little, too
This girl she learned the hard way
But, the truth is what I chose
As long as we keep laughing we never will grow old
I?ve learned a lot of lessons while left out in the cold
And, this I know for certain and this I know for true
Life?s too short for waiting for things to come to you
Glad I was brought up to know that laughin?s not a curse
You do the job you have to do, for better or for worse
Embrace the highs, embrace the lows, what will be will be
Laugh at yourself and always know the world?s your family
Hey, I?m still laughing
Seems I?ve been scrambling from the start
This girl, she learned the hard way
That the truth is in your heart
But, I?m still laughing
I guess I cried a little, too
This girl she learned the hard way
But, the truth is what I chose
I?m still laughing baby
I?m still laughing now
I quit my crying and moved on
Oh yeh, hear me laughing
I?ll be laughin? all the way home
