Song Description
I listened to a lot of country music while growing up and I got upset with all the heartbreak and broken relationship type of songs that ruled the airwaves. As a songwriter, I was not going to get on the bandwagon of misery, so I wrote my own version on the subject.

Lyrics
WE DON?T WANT ANOTHER CHEATIN SONG
Words and music written by Steven Oudean 2002
VERSE 1
Kids love to hear stories of how people lived long ago
About Grandma and Grandpa and the fields they used to hoe
Well, sure they had some hard times, but friends would always lend a hand
And the love they held for each other, they knew would never end
CHORUS
We don?t want another cheatin song
We don?t want another doin? me wrong song
That ain?t what our kids really want to hear
Whatever happened to Mom and Dad and just being in love ain?t so bad
And everything?s just doin? fine around here
INSTRUMENTAL BREAK
VERSE 2
Kids love to go to the park and stay up way after dark
Even though it?s well past their bedtimes
They got their Barbie?s and their GI Joe?s
They got computers and Nintendo?s
But whatever happened to family prayer and helping the folks next door
CHORUS
We don?t want another cheatin song
We don?t want another doin? me wrong song
That ain?t what our kids really want to hear
Whatever happened to Mom and Dad and just being in love ain?t so bad
And everything?s just doin? fine around here
END TAG
Everything?s just doin? fine
Things couldn?t be more divine
Everything?s just doin? fine around here
