Story Behind The Song
this piece includes a number of field recordings i have made...among them is a turkish singer who also plays the 'sipsi', a reed instrument similar to the chanter in bagpipes... recorded at a tea preocessing plant in Ardesen, Turkey in 1992...(he's singing in 5/8 time, incidentally)
the bell is that of a mediaeval church in Veauche, near Lyons, France...
the bird was recorded from my apartment in Seoul, S.Korea...
there is also some 'kitchen' percussion...pots and pans...
the bombarde is played by a friend (Daami) who bought the instrument in France.
