Story Behind The Song
Last summer, I attended a baptism for very dear friends. As we all hovered over looking the small infant, watching the preacher intently, a stroke of sunshine beamed across the room and onto the faces of the mother and child who was being held by his aunt. This small room had this unbelievable, almost surreal glow and warmth. And, just for those few minutes, I saw something remarkable. Nestled in the arms of his aunt, the infant looked up at his mother just as the mother was gleaming deep in his eyes. It was amazing to see the tenderness, love and the unbreakable bond that was formed at that moment, at that time. I started thinking about how that bond might translate into a song - but wanted to make sure people to could feel it beyond a mother and son relationship
- so as you listen, you will hear a splash of Spanish guitar. This was to give it a romantic love story type of feel even though the song is really about a mother and son bond.

Lyrics
I look up and see you laughing
Your cross the room and our eyes draw near
Your eyes sparkle every time you look at me
Holding me so tight - you are so dear
You always keep me warm - protecting
I could be, a mile away
Dreaming when we meet again
I know your, thinking about me
(chorus)
The way you look at me, makes smile
The way look at me makes me high
The way you look at me (3x) Yeah!
I feel helpless without you near
But it's time to break away
Turning towards that long road ahead
I never heard you say goodbye
(Chorus)
Guitar Interlude
After years it's still the same
A magic that no one can explain
Colliding souls that never lose their way, never lose their way
