Story Behind The Song

This is actually a true story... I did write the chorus lyrics when I was in the 9th grade, during an English summer camp. Some british guy named James asked us to write a poem about not becoming a part of the machine (after listening to Pink Floyd's Welcome to the Machine). So, five minutes before the deadline, I came up with those chorus lines... needless to say, James was thrilled about my little poem. Strangely enough, I remembered about it last summer, so I wrote this song. And then I felt childish, and liberated, and empowered by this thought of a different world.

Song Description

As children, we have a very innocent perception of the world, and say things that may seem foolish to grown-ups. But sometimes we express simple yet profound ideas, that could serve as guidelines for our adult life. "I don't wanna live like a bee" is one of them. This song is about returning to innocence and also about personal freedom.
