Story Behind The Song
Daniel and I started looking at our relationships with our wives and found that all we want to do is be with them and love on 'em and there are all these ppiddly things that get in the way of our effection. Nature for us both are powerful metaphors and in this case, we also wanted to bring a poetic sense of surrender in relationship. Just as a leaf falls, so do we....over and over, fo rthese incredible women who give themselves to us in marriage. Gross but true...yuck.

Lyrics
The sweetest thing in early light is snoozin' next to you. The old alarm we can't resist kick-starts our day in this zoo. Sleepy eyes. Ruffled hair. The freckles of your skin. Pajamas kicked beneath the quilt. We'?re off on the same old routine. Not today. I won't let a thing get in our way. This moment we live a dream where your kisses calm the seas. Not today. The breeze and the trees begin to play. Like leaves falling to the stream, you bring me to me knees. Candle lit 'til the dawn. Vanilla fills the air. An empty glass, the wine we shared. Stockings tossed over the chair. Not today. I won't let a thing get in our way. This moment we live a dream where your kisses calm the seas. Not today. The breeze and the trees begin to play. Like leaves falling to the stream, you bring me to me knees. Grocery list. Sweep the floor. Dishes yet to do. A tiny hand knocks on our door...he pounces all over the room. Not today. We won't let a thing get in our way. This moment we live a dream. Each moment we live a dream. Not today. The breeze and the trees begin to play. Like leaves falling to the stream, you bring me to me knees.
