my sweetheart expreiences insomnia on a much too regular basis. as a result, my sleeping patterns and habits have been afftected. one night, after experimenting with a filter that sounds like a record, i dove into a bit of insomnia myself and came up with the melody. i was up until 3:00 a.m. and created this song from beginning to end. in a way, it is a tribute to kirsty.

this particular piece attempts to capture the feeling and experience of insomnia. relaxing at times but dominated by the repetition of the ticking clock. the inability to sleep causes one to drift into an abnormal state of mind, sometimes. i feel like i captured at least a moment in time that expresses how insomnia actually feels...
