Story Behind The Song
A song about living spontaneously from someone that has historically planned everything out. It was written in college when I first learned the joy that comes with being just a little irresponsible with my emotions and my heart. It was intended to be a tribute to my growth and that feeling of letting go even while knowing it would come back and bite me in the ass later on. But doing it anyway because to risk not doing it was a greater loss. I've since gotten better at taking risks :)
Song Description
The song is upbeat and captures the essence of living for the moment. Having a fling, laughing awkward moments off, being irresponsible even though you know you'll get a reality check soon after. Also alludes to the bits of guilt you feel when knowing you're setting yourself up for disappointment but doing it anyway for the experience.

Lyrics
We were driving fast after they told us to slow down
Blasting summer songs to drown the guilt out
Does anybody know how long it takes to reach the end of the world?
I'd like to get lost again looking for the sun
One more time I'll wrap my arms around you
Dancing in the candied rain
Taste it in my mouth, sticking to my skin
Sweeter than the bitterness I've been swimming in
Tonight, I'll miss you anyway
And I give it all back to you
There is no witness to my skin
I have no dice for this game
I think they disappeared last time we played
And I lost, but laughed instead
One more time I'll wrap my arms around you
Dancing in the candied rain
Taste it in my mouth, sticking to my skin
Sweeter than the bitterness I've been swimming in
Tonight, I'll miss you
I could say I'm never coming back
But I like your empty bed
I like your empty bed
After all my well thought-out intentions have been tucked in
I will let the guards sleep in your silhouette
In your silhouette
