Story Behind The Song
This song was written during the final phases of a bad relationship. I was heartbroken and welcomed the opportunity to shut myself off from the world and my emotions...anything to stop feeling so hurt. But still...wondering what could have happened. Wishing for a phone call. The song captured for me, that feeling of knowing I wanted to just hit rock bottom emotionally because it was easier to give in to the heartbreak and thoughts of "what if" than be strong and move on.
Song Description
Heartbreak at the point where one isn't ready to let go and can only think about what could have been. The song is emotional and passionate and sucks the listener in.

Lyrics
Into the darkness
Away from the headlights
Away from the chatter
And lovers in arms
I think of the springtime
Down into summer
Replay the moments
I kept close to home
Cause I keep you in my heart
Yes I keep you in my heart
Make way expectation
You're driving me crazy
No I can't reason with you
Don't know what you're thinking
Can't you give me something
To keep me sane
Cause I'm getting tired
Of reliving nights
To make up for mornings
Filled with doubt
Can't you give me something
Can't you give me something
Oh God give me something to hold me over
And maybe I'll stop
Thinking about yesterday
And everything that could have been
Keep my head above the clouds
I'll keep my head up
But it's so much easier to sink than swim
So much easier to go down
So much easier to go down
