Story Behind The Song
This song is inspired by an enormous display of lights that were created in the shape of a star and displayed every year around the holidays. The lights sat upon the foothills just overlooking town and where visible from almost everywhere within town. The light display became symbolic, as a sign of gratitude, hope and positive change.

Lyrics
If I keep wishing upon the shimmering light of that star hung up
On foothill's edge tossed up like coin
Clear my mind and meditate to sacred places so safe
Change enough particles to send
Undulating molecular waves, seismic ripples into the thread
Of everything
And to create desired fate
There is control, it's time to grip the helm and steer back on course
Of clarity make everything
I've ever dreamed as real as sitting here reflective and held
Transfixed in this forever gaze
Never never again will I take anything in this forsaken life
For granted
If I have faith upon that star
That star looked on me as I winked back, oh
That star my new symbol for the universe 'round me
That star to renew belief beyond myself
That star to keep me safe and help me to find my peace
And from afar across expanse of crystal valley it sat
A shining beacon full of hope
And just like life it will exhaust all energy in time
And say goodnight and burn out bright
