The Accord began in Fort Collins, CO in 2003 when Jeff Burke, an art student, posted an ad for a guitarist and Josh Kahle, a music student at that time, responded. The two met Ron Carlstrom one evening after being dazzled by his open mic performance. The group was born and began play around town. The group opening up for the likes of Umphrey’s McGee, Chris Duarte, Ekoostik Hookah, Dick Dale, The Bastard Sons of Johnny Cash, and Brian Auger before they headed east to Chicago. In Chicago, the group met bassist and fellow songwriter Dan Ornduff and the man with the beats, John Flamini. In the past year the group has played numerous shows to delighted audiences at some of the cities most popular venues.
The Accord has blended rock, soul, funk, folk, reggae, country, gypsy and classical together with infectious melodies, pristine harmonies, and boundless musicianship, to create "a band that is bound for great things."
